The top ten most popular brands and models of cars in 2012 in the U.S. - the representatives Ford, Honda, Chevrolet, Toyota, Ram and Nissan. Sales leader, as the last few years, has become pickup Ford F-series.
Last year the North American auto market has shown the best state for the last 6 years the result. During the 12 months of 2012 was sold about 14.5 million new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles class, which is 13 percent more than in 2011. The most popular in absolute terms have the following cars.
In the first place, as mentioned above - Ford pickup Series F, just a year sold over 646,316 copies. Showed an increase of 10.3 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.
Second place - truck Chevrolet Silverado, which dealers managed to sell as many as 418,312 units, also up 0.8 percent over the previous year. In third place - Japanese sedan Toyota Camry, realized in the amount of 404,886 units, and showed a very significant increase of 31.2 percent.
In the fourth and fifth places were fixed two Honda: Honda Accord (331,872, plus 40.8 percent) and Honda Civic (317,909, up 43.7 per cent of sales). Next on the list a top ten: sedan Nissan Altima (302,934 vehicles sold, sales growth 12.6%), pickup Ram (293,363 vehicles, an increase 19.9%), sedan Toyota Corolla (290,947 units, plus 21.1%), the crossover Honda CRV (281,652 cars, + 29.0%). In tenth place - Ford Escape, crossover, sold over 261,008 units, and also more than in 2011 - by 2.6 percent.
